Create, manage, and secure email accounts for your domain with these step-by-step guides.

Creating Email Accounts

  1. Go to Email > Accounts.
  2. Click Create Account.
  3. Fill in:
    • Email: sales@yourdomain.com
    • Password: Use the strength meter to ensure security.
    • Mailbox Quota: 10 GB (default).

Configuring Email Clients

  • IMAP/POP3 Settings:
    Incoming Server: mail.nikolahost.com  
    IMAP Port: 993 (SSL)  
    POP3 Port: 995 (SSL)  
    Outgoing Server: mail.nikolahost.com  
    SMTP Port: 465 (SSL)  
  • Autoconfiguration Files:
    Download Outlook/Thunderbird setups from Email > Client Configurations.

Spam Prevention

  • Enable SpamAssassin:
    1. Navigate to Email > Spam Filters.
    2. Set spam score to 5.0 (higher = stricter).
    3. Redirect spam to a dedicated folder or delete it automatically.
  • DKIM/DMARC Setup:
    1. Under Email > Authentication, generate DKIM keys.
    2. Add the TXT record to your domain’s DNS.

Troubleshooting

  • Emails Not Sending?
    • Check if your IP is blacklisted using MXToolbox.
    • Verify SMTP credentials in your client.
  • Missing Emails?
    • Increase mailbox quota or purge spam folders.

Pro Tip: Use Forwarders (Email > Forwarders) to redirect support@ emails to your team’s personal addresses.
